SixPM vs a UK branding or web agency

A good UK agency gives you a team, a process and a research phase. For a multi-market rebrand with many stakeholders, that is still the right purchase, and we will say so on the call.

For everything else, the agency model has three costs built in that the quote does not show: time (3–8 weeks for a brochure site, 6–16 weeks for an identity, driven mostly by feedback loops), change (2–3 revision rounds included, then £60–£120 an hour), and the London premium (20–40% above regional agencies for the same scope).

SixPM removes all three. A brochure site that an agency quotes at £3,000–£8,000 and delivers in six weeks is a Launch Sprint delivered in 48 hours, or a week of requests on a plan. The changes an agency bills hourly are included. And we are in London without charging for it.

SixPM vs ManyPixels, Penji and Designjoy

The US design subscriptions invented the model we use, and we admire them for it. The differences are specific.

Turnaround. ManyPixels delivers in 1–2 days, Penji in 24–48 hours (same-day only on its $1,995 Agency Partner tier), Designjoy in an average of 48 hours. SixPM delivers by 18:00 on every plan for requests sent before 13:00.

Concurrency. ManyPixels works one output a day on its $699 plan; Penji allows two active projects at $995; Designjoy allows one request at a time at $4,995. SixPM allows one, three or unlimited workstreams across its three plans.

Web design. ManyPixels includes it at $699. Penji gates it to $1,995. Designjoy includes Webflow at $4,995. SixPM includes websites on every plan, deployed to your own domain.

Hours. All three run on US time. Send a request at 10:00 in London and the designer is asleep. SixPM runs 08:00–18:00 UK.

Where they win: ManyPixels has 150,000 delivered projects and a large bench; Penji has Forbes and Uber in its case studies; Designjoy is one person with a decade of consistency. We are newer. We put the clock in the contract instead.

3

SixPM vs Design Cloud

Design Cloud, based in Manchester, is the closest UK competitor and a credible one: full-time UK designers, UK hours, flat-rate pricing from £699 a month, trusted by 800+ teams.

The differences: Design Cloud delivers most requests the next business day and works one request at a time per designer; adding capacity means adding a designer at the full monthly rate. It is graphics-led, with websites a specialist add-on.

SixPM is same-day on every plan, scales concurrency inside the plan rather than per seat, and includes websites on the entry plan. Design Cloud’s people-only model is a genuine strength if you want a designer on a call every day; our model puts a senior designer on every decision and agents on every hour of production, which is what makes the clock possible.

4

SixPM vs Wix, Framer, Squarespace and Durable

DIY AI builders are the floor on speed and price: a site in minutes from £10 a month. If you enjoy building and have the time, use one. Framer in particular produces beautiful pages.

The cost is your time and the result. You write the copy, choose the type, crop the photos, and the brand is whatever the template suggested. The site rarely changes after launch because changing it is work.

SixPM uses Framer, Webflow, WordPress and Shopify as platforms, so you get the same portability, but a senior designer builds it, the copy is written for you, and every change after launch is a message rather than an evening.

5

SixPM vs AI-native studios

A new wave of studios (dp.vision in Poland, Proof of Work in London, Mission Control in San Francisco) has rebuilt agency work around AI and cut project timelines to days. dp.vision ships a brand, site and deck in about five days at fixed prices from $2,500; Proof of Work runs a $15,000 brand sprint.

They sell projects. You buy a finished thing with a ship date, then come back for the next one. SixPM sells a subscription: the same speed, applied every working day, with changes included. If you need one thing once, they are a good choice. If your brand and site need to keep moving, the subscription pays for itself within a few months.
